Pinch Point Guard The Perimeter pinch point guard is a patented feature essential to the safety of personnel. The guard is made from L-Shaped aluminum extrusion and hangs below the entire perimeter of the deck. If the table is being lowered while an object such as a person's hand or foot is in its path, the guard will be triggered and electricly stop the table from lowering. Once the object is removed, the table will once again be operable; there is no need to reset the unit. Without toeguard provision, scissor tables do not meet OSHA or ANSI standards and are extremely dangerous.
2HP Three Phase Motor Standard on all tables through 6,000 lbs. is a three phase, 2 HP, 56 frame motor.
This is supplied with a pigtail cord for temporary power-up prior to being
hard-wired into user’s supply system. Single-phase units have the option of a
3/4 HP, 56 frame motor with a standard 15 A plug for quick connection, or a 1-1/2
HP, 56 frame with a pigtail. All of our 56 frame motors feature thermostats. The
thermostats are designed to interrupt power to the motor in the event the motor
becomes overheated. Power will be shut down before the motor can reach a
temperature that would cause damage.
24V Hand Pendant Control Our standard control is a handheld push-button control on an 8’ cord. This
rainproof control carries only 24 Volt regardless of the incoming power unit’s
supply voltage. This will prevent a severe shock in the event there should be a short
in the system. For hands free operation we offer a NEMA 4 foot control. This unit is guarded
on the top and sides by a metal shroud to prevent accidental actuation. This
control is also 24 Volt. Our newest alternative is the RC-460 Wireless Remote Control System which
can be attached to a belt where its fingertip buttons are easily accessible.
This lightweight, two-button control allows the freedom to control lifts from a
range of up to 150 feet. The RC-460 is approved to meet part 15 of the FCC,
Federal Communications Code, and designed to prevent crosstalk and false
triggering from stray radio frequencies. 24V Hand Pendant Control 110V Hand Pendant Control
Hydraulic Cylinder The quantity and diameter of the cylinders used is dependent on the raised height
and capacity of the table. Our cylinders are always mounted rod down to eliminate the
effects of debris collecting on the cylinder gland. This will extend seal and rod life.
The hydraulic cylinders are displacement style which offer advantages over the more
common piston style. For example, displacement style cylinders do not need to “breath”
through the unused port, keeping dust and moisture out of the cylinder. The air valve
on the end of each cylinder allows air to be eliminated from the hydraulic system after
maintenance or routine oil changes. Cylinders are always mounted symmetrically which prevents side load conditions
that can contribute to wear.
Rollers, Pins & Bearings Long term durability is the most important attribute for the rollers, pins and
bearings. This is determined by examining the material, finish and tolerance of each part.
All of our pins are made from cold rolled steel (ASTM 1018) and finished to bearing
manufactures specifications. The axle pins and hinge pins are easily accessible
and replaceable. The rollers are case carburized (absorption of carbon for
wearablity) to a depth of .010 inch and hardened to a Rockwell “C” number of 40.
Our self-lubricating bearings are steel backed for higher load carrying capacity and
structural rigidity. The compressive strength is 40,000 psi which helps in resistance
to shock loading. The bearings are press fit into machined holes to within one
thousandth of an inch tolerance. The main bearings are mounted on the outside of
the legs allowing bearing wear to be monitored.
